Williams Teague Sugar House Destroyed

February 18 fire results in total loss

The sugar house of Florence Willams and John Teague, located near Rockville in Parke County was destroyed in a nightime fire Monday, February 18.

The building and equipment were lost along with a substantial supply of maple syrup destined for the Parke County Maple Syrup Fair that is set to open the weekend of February 23-24.

Many are familiar with the Williams & Teague Sugar Camp from the Parke County Maple Tours and as the site where members of the Indiana Maple Syrup Association gathered to pack maple syrup for the Indiana State Fair.
