Members to Gather for Annual Canning Day on May 17

Fundraising project at the Indiana State Fair

IMSA’s canning day will be held at the Harris Sugar Bush, Greencastle, IN on Sat. May 17. Members and friends are welcome to take part in the day-long event. Work begins at 9 am and we expect to finish about 3pm.

We expect to pack about 400 gallons of syrup to be sold at the Indiana State Fair.

Our state fair sale is the IMSA’s major fund raising project. Income from syrup sold at the fair covers a significant part of the costs for our annual meeting with its informative speakers and programs.

Members are invited to help staff the sugar shack in Pioneer Village at the fair. Soon members will receive a schedule and signup form for the event.
